An amazing competition today at Scotney, huge turnout, at times it seemed like a Dutch takeover!
Huge thanks to our hosts Ross and Martin at the National Trust. They have put up with all my questions for the last few months, cleared a huge amount of junk from the hedge, and really looked after us.
Thanks also to all the people who helped out, including Judges, Stewards, Photographer, and especially to Gary for his unwavering enthusiasm and for giving up his place today to allow some others to enter, he still managed 3rd place in the points trophy.
The £50 hand-tools prize (per class) was very soon abandoned by the wise who figured out that finishing was going to be tough. Fantastic work by those who stuck with hand-tools. Brilliant news though, with Gary chivvying everyone along we all managed to finish.
