The manufacturer (name withheld at this time) has refused warranty on this item "due to the damage and marking to the lower blade, which does not appear consistent with the cutting of woody vegetation for which these shears are designed."
I 100% guarantee I have not been cutting anything other than "woody vegetation", but lets assume I cut some wire hidden within a stem, should a huge chunk snap off the blade?, or would you expect a small chip?
