Frank paid a visit to the RSPB yesterday to look at this season’s hedge, whilst there he wandered down and had a look at the one we laid last season. Regrowth is generally reasonable without being dramatic and most of what we laid is still alive. There is some evidence of deer browsing. See pictures on the right, including one that was obviously done afterwards - at least it’s still alive. They’ve done quite a lot of work clearing the huge bramble/brush growth that was behind the hedge. They are pleased with the hedge and we are part of a ten year brush management and hedgelaying plan.
